Data Retention & Deletion Policy

Overview

At SpentX (sponsored by Appamania), we believe you should have complete control over your financial data. This policy explains how long we retain your data and how you can delete it.

Data Retention

Local App Data

  • Transaction data is stored locally on your device indefinitely until you delete it
  • You can delete individual transactions or all data at any time
  • Uninstalling the app removes all local data permanently

Cloud Backup Data (If Enabled)

  • Encrypted backups are retained as long as your account is active
  • Inactive accounts with cloud data are retained for 2 years
  • You can delete cloud backups at any time from the app settings

Pre-Registration Data

  • Email addresses collected for launch notifications are retained until app launch
  • After launch, we delete pre-registration data within 90 days
  • You can request deletion at any time by contacting us

How to Delete Your Data

Delete Local Data

  1. Open SpentX app
  2. Go to Settings → Data Management
  3. Tap "Delete All Data"
  4. Confirm deletion

Delete Cloud Backup

  1. Open SpentX app
  2. Go to Settings → Cloud Backup
  3. Tap "Delete Cloud Backup"
  4. Confirm deletion

Delete Account & All Data

  1. Open SpentX app
  2. Go to Settings → Account
  3. Tap "Delete Account"
  4. This permanently deletes all your data (local + cloud)

Delete Pre-Registration Data

Email us at support@appamania.in with your registered email address and we will delete your data within 7 business days.

Data Export

Before deleting your data, you can export it in the following formats:

  • CSV (for spreadsheets)
  • JSON (for developers)
  • PDF (for records)
